Manager, Sales & System Design

 

Job Responsibilities:

You are to manage the Sales activities in Singapore, South East Asia, Greater China and India. You are responsible to create and implement effective Sales strategies to achieve efficiency, productivity, quality and profitability.

  • Forecast personal sales targets and his team, manage all activities within the provided budget.
  • Generate weekly sales reports on all market activities under his territory and team.
  • Manage and develop business in all related markets, including; Shipyards, off-shore rig builders/owners, EPC players and consultants.
  •   Initiate the sales process by scheduling appointments with decision-makers and decision-influencers within a prospective client company.
  •   Build, customize and deliver sales presentations, maintain and manage client and prospect data in our sales database.
  •   Pro-actively seek new opportunities to win new markets and to fully understand customers' businesses and requirements.
  •   Be actively involved in answering technical queries from customers pertaining to the projects; trouble-shooting in matters of documentation, delivery and service levels.
  • Lead negotiations in variations in price, delivery and specifications; advising on forthcoming project developments.
  • Manage Sales Engineers’/ Snr Engineers’ activities; review and develop their sales performance in the relevant assigned markets.
  • Gather competitors’ business information (intelligence) and relevant market research/analysis.
  • Manage the team’s weekly sales reports on all market activities.
  • Encourage the sales team to always work closely with the Marketing and Technical Proposal team to promote and create awareness about Omega and its strengths.
 

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in Telecommunications/Electronics or Computer Engineering or any related discipline.
  • A minimum 5 years of experience in the Marine/Offshore /Oil and Gas industry.
  • Good experience and track records working in a Sales or Technical position.
  • Possess good written and verbal skills.
  • Possess good leadership skills with a high level of personal responsibility and self-motivation and with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Able to travel frequently to open markets and visit potential clients.
  • Good analytical/problem solving skills/abilities.
  • A self-starter with ability to multi-task and handle work pressure well.
