Director, Sales & System Design

 

Job Responsibilities:

You are to lead the International Sales Department. You are responsible to create and implement effective business plans and sales strategies to achieve efficiency, productivity, quality and profitability.
 
  • Manage and develop business in all related markets and territories, including; Shipyards, off-shore rig builders/owners, EPC players and consultants.
  • Forecast overall sales targets, manage all activities within the provided budget.
  • Generate bi-weekly sales report on all market activities for the overall sales department.
  • Develop business plans for new markets / areas to be developed.
  • Join final negotiation meetings with customers for higher management representation.
  • Approve negotiations in variations in price, delivery and specifications; advising on forthcoming project developments.
  • Manage Sales Managers activities; review and develop their sales performance in the relevant assigned markets.
  • Gather competitors’ business information (intelligence) and relevant market research/analysis.
  • Review the team’s weekly sales reports on all market activities and coach individuals that they achieve their sales targets.
  • Encourage the sales team to always work closely with the Marketing and Technical Proposal team to promote and create awareness about Omega and its strengths.
  • Support the sales process by scheduling appointments with decision-makers and decision-influencers within a prospective client company.
 

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in Telecommunications/Electronics or Computer Engineering or any related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Marine/Offshore /Oil and Gas industry.
  • Minimum of 15 years working experience, especially in technical design and sales for the following systems: PAGA, PABX, Digital and analog Radio Systems, VSAT, LAN/WAN, CCTV, Navigational Aid Systems, Fire & Gas Detection Systems.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a high level of personal responsibility and self-motivation and with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Good experience and track records working in a Technical Sales or Project Sales position.
  • Possess good written and verbal skills.
  • Able to travel to open markets and visit important clients.
  • Good analytical/problem solving skills/abilities.
  • A self-starter with ability to multi-task and handle work pressure well.
